Renate Westerlaken-Loos

Renate Westerlaken-Loos is a Dutch politician currently serving as the acting mayor of Lopik, a position she assumed on October 1, 2025. A member of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA), she previously served as the mayor of Lopik from 2009 to 2017 and held roles as a provincial council member in Utrecht and an alderman in Veenendaal. Beyond her political career, she has worked as a mediator and served as the director of the Ronald McDonald Children's Fund. She holds a degree in law from Utrecht University, specializing in international and European law.
