Anton Ederveen

Anton Ederveen is a Dutch politician and administrator who served as the mayor of Valkenswaard from 2007 to 2025. Upon his initial appointment, he was the youngest mayor in the Netherlands. Before his long-standing tenure in Valkenswaard, he worked as a policy advisor for the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA) in the House of Representatives and served as a district board member in Amsterdam Geuzenveld-Slotermeer. Ederveen holds a degree in political science with a specialization in public administration from the University of Amsterdam. Beyond his political career, he has held various supervisory roles in organizations related to crime prevention, library services, and regional tourism.
