Éric Forest is a Canadian politician currently serving as a member of the Senate of Canada representing the province of Quebec. Before his appointment to the Senate in 2016, he had a long career in municipal politics, most notably serving as the Mayor of Rimouski from 2005 to 2016. During his tenure in local government, he also served as the president of the Union of Quebec Municipalities. In addition to his political career, Forest was the first president of the Rimouski Océanic junior ice hockey team and worked as a business owner in the private sector. He was recognized for his leadership in urban planning with the Jean-Paul L'Allier Award in 2014.
