Ricardo Menéndez March is a Mexican-born New Zealand politician and activist who has served as a Member of the New Zealand House of Representatives since 2020. Before entering Parliament, he worked as a film projectionist and in migrant advocacy, notably serving as the coordinator for Auckland Action Against Poverty. A self-described socialist and Marxist, he focuses on social development, employment, and immigration policy. He is the first Latin American Member of Parliament in New Zealand and has been a vocal advocate for poverty reduction, housing affordability, and Palestinian rights.
