Ginny Andersen

Ginny Andersen is a New Zealand politician who has served as a Member of Parliament since 2017. A member of the Labour Party, she previously held several ministerial portfolios, including Minister of Police and Minister of Justice, during the Sixth Labour Government. Before entering politics, she worked as a policy unit manager for the New Zealand Police and as a political adviser. Her legislative work includes the successful passage of the Holidays (Bereavement Leave for Miscarriage) Amendment Bill. Currently serving as an opposition MP, she continues to focus on portfolios including education, jobs, and police affairs.
