Richard Foord is a British Liberal Democrat politician and former British Army major who has served as the Member of Parliament for Honiton and Sidmouth since 2024, having previously represented Tiverton and Honiton from 2022. Before entering politics, he held various roles in higher education, including at the University of Oxford and the University of Exeter. During his parliamentary career, he has focused on local community issues, such as campaigning to save Seaton Hospital and advocating for the legal right to wild camping on Dartmoor. He is a graduate of Royal Holloway, Cranfield University, and the Open University.
