Scott Arthur

Scott Arthur is a British politician and academic serving as the Member of Parliament for Edinburgh South West since 2024. Before entering national politics, he was a professor at Heriot-Watt University specializing in urban water management and served as a councillor for the City of Edinburgh, where he acted as the Transport and Environment Convener. During his time on the council, he was a key advocate for the city's tram expansion and implemented a city-wide ban on pavement parking. As an MP, he has focused on issues such as rare cancer treatment and local anti-social behavior, and he serves on the Transport Select Committee.
