Richard Quigley is a British Labour Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Isle of Wight West since 2024, marking the first time the constituency elected a Labour MP. Born in 1971 and raised in Retford, he studied manufacturing systems engineering at Coventry University. Before entering national politics, he worked at Britvic Soft Drinks and later operated a fish and chip shop on the Isle of Wight. He also served as a councillor for Cowes North Ward on the Isle of Wight Council starting in 2021. In Parliament, he has advocated for the reform and regulation of ferry operators serving the island, arguing that ownership should be removed from private equity control.
