Rico Gebhardt is a German politician and a long-serving member of the Landtag of Saxony. Born in 1963, he began his career as a chef and later worked in various commercial management roles before entering politics. A member of the SED and later the PDS and The Left, he has served in the state parliament since 2004. Gebhardt held the position of parliamentary group leader for The Left from 2012 to 2024 and previously served as the state chairman of his party in Saxony from 2009 to 2017.
