Robert Biedroń is a Polish politician and LGBT activist currently serving as a Member of the European Parliament. He previously served as the Mayor of Słupsk from 2014 to 2018 and was a member of the Sejm from 2011 to 2014. A prominent figure in Polish progressive politics, he co-founded the political party Spring and is a leader of The Left alliance. Biedroń is a vocal advocate for secularism, gender equality, and LGBT rights, having co-founded the Campaign Against Homophobia in 2001. Throughout his career, he has focused on participatory democracy, social liberalism, and European integration.
