Robert Rolison

Robert Rolison is an American politician currently serving as a member of the New York State Senate, representing the 39th District. Before his election to the state legislature in 2022, he served as the mayor of Poughkeepsie from 2016 to 2022 and as a member of the Dutchess County Legislature for over a decade, including a tenure as chairman. Prior to his political career, Rolison spent 26 years in law enforcement, serving as a police officer and detective in the Town of Poughkeepsie. He is recognized for his focus on bipartisanship and local governance.
