Robert Simms is an Australian politician currently serving as a member of the South Australian Legislative Council, a position he has held since May 2021. Previously, he served as a Senator for South Australia from 2015 to 2016 and as an Area Councillor for the City of Adelaide across two separate terms. A member of the Greens, Simms has been a vocal advocate for higher education, LGBT rights, and marriage equality. He is also known for his recent legislative efforts to protect historic heritage sites in Adelaide, including the 'Save the Cranker' movement.
