Kyam Maher is an Australian politician who serves as the Deputy Premier of South Australia, Attorney-General, and Minister for Aboriginal Affairs. A member of the Australian Labor Party, he has represented the South Australian Legislative Council since 2012. Maher is the first Indigenous Australian to serve as both Attorney-General and Deputy Premier in South Australia. Throughout his career, he has focused on Aboriginal affairs, including leading treaty negotiations and implementing reparations for the Stolen Generations, while also holding various ministerial portfolios such as industrial relations and public sector management.
