Patrick Gorman is an Australian politician serving as the Member of the House of Representatives for the Division of Perth since 2018. A member of the Australian Labor Party, he currently holds ministerial responsibilities as the Assistant Minister to the Prime Minister, Assistant Minister to the Public Service, and Assistant Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations. Before his parliamentary career, Gorman worked as a political advisor to Kevin Rudd and served as the State Secretary of WA Labor. He is known for his advocacy on social issues, including his support for changing the date of Australia Day to be more inclusive of Indigenous perspectives.
