Chris Whiting is an Australian politician currently serving as the Labor member for Bancroft in the Queensland Legislative Assembly, a position he has held since 2017. He previously represented the seat of Murrumba from 2015 to 2017. Before entering state parliament, Whiting served for 12 years as a councillor for the Caboolture Shire and Moreton Bay Regional Council, where he focused on local infrastructure and community projects. In the 58th Queensland Parliament, he serves as the Deputy Chair of the Governance, Energy and Finance Committee, having previously held roles including Chief Government Whip and Chair of the State Development and Regional Industries Committee.
