Sue Higginson

Sue Higginson is an Australian politician and former public interest environmental lawyer serving as a member of the New South Wales Legislative Council since 2022. Born in Cornwall, England, she moved to Australia as a child and later graduated from Southern Cross University with a Bachelor of Laws. Before entering politics, she served as the Principal Solicitor and CEO of the Environmental Defenders Office and taught environmental law. As a Greens representative, she has focused on environmental protection and legislative reform, notably authoring significant amendments to New South Wales firearms laws in 2025.
