Robert van Gasteren

Robert van Gasteren is a Dutch politician and former corporate executive currently serving as a member of the Senate of the Netherlands. Born in 1959, he studied law at Erasmus University Rotterdam before building a career in human resource management and IT services, holding leadership roles at companies including Capgemini and Staffing MS. He entered the Senate in 2023 as a representative of the Farmer–Citizen Movement (BBB). In 2026, he left the party and continues to serve in the Senate as an independent politician, focusing on employment, foreign affairs, defense, and NATO.
