Rodney Lyons

Rodney Lyons is an American politician serving as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives for District 87, representing a suburban area of Jefferson Parish near New Orleans. First elected in 2015 after unseating incumbent Ebony Woodruff, he assumed office in January 2016. Prior to his legislative career, Lyons worked as a Superintendent for the Jefferson Parish Streets Department, a realtor, and a business consultant. He also has a background in community leadership, having served as president of the Woodmere Civic Association, and previously coached high school and youth league basketball.
