Norman W. Sanderson

Norman W. Sanderson is an American politician serving as a member of the North Carolina Senate, representing the state's second district which encompasses Carteret, Craven, and Pamlico counties. Before his election to the Senate, he served in the North Carolina House of Representatives for the 3rd district. Throughout his legislative career, Sanderson has been a proponent of conservative policies, including the introduction of legislation aimed at restricting gender-affirming medical procedures for minors. In 2025, he faced public scrutiny following an arrest and charge for driving while impaired.
