Rodrigo Mundaca

Rodrigo Mundaca is a Chilean politician, agricultural engineer, and environmental activist who has served as the Governor of the Valparaíso Region since July 2021. Before entering public office, he gained prominence as a director and spokesperson for the environmental organization Modatima, where he campaigned against unfair water extraction practices. His advocacy work has earned international recognition, including the Nuremberg International Human Rights Award in 2019, despite facing significant personal threats due to his activism.
