Roger Karoutchi

Roger Karoutchi is a French politician and long-serving member of the French Senate representing the Hauts-de-Seine department. Born in Casablanca, he began his political career at a young age and has held numerous significant roles, including Secretary of State for Relations with Parliament under President Nicolas Sarkozy and First Vice-President of the Senate. A career educator and historian by training, Karoutchi has been a prominent figure in the RPR, UMP, and Les Républicains parties. Throughout his tenure, he has focused on regional development, parliamentary relations, and foreign policy, notably chairing the France-Israel friendship group in the Senate.
