Roland Lescure

Roland Lescure is a French-Canadian politician and economist currently serving as the Minister of Economics, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty. A graduate of École Polytechnique and the London School of Economics, he previously held high-level positions in finance, including as a senior executive at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec. Elected as a member of the National Assembly in 2017, he became a prominent figure in the Renaissance party, focusing on industrial policy, energy transition, and economic reform. Known for his pragmatic center-left approach, he has played a key role in drafting major economic legislation and managing state support for industrial sectors.
