Roland van Benthem is a Dutch politician and chartered accountant who has served as the Mayor of Eemnes since 2005. A member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), he previously held positions as a municipal councillor in Zeist and as a member of the States-Provincial of Utrecht. Before his mayoral career, he worked as a civil servant for the Tax and Customs Administration, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, and the Queen's Office. He is also known for his advocacy work, having served as treasurer for the LGBT organization COC Nederland.
