Rik Janssen

Rik Janssen is a Dutch politician and member of the Senate of the Netherlands, representing the Socialist Party. After a career as a catering entrepreneur in Scheveningen, he transitioned into politics following a period of rehabilitation from a serious accident, during which he earned a law degree from the Open University. He previously served as a temporary member of the House of Representatives in 2011 and held a position on the Provincial Executive of South Holland for several years. Since 2022, he has served as the chairman of the Socialist Party parliamentary group in the Senate, focusing on areas such as judiciary policy, environment, and governance.
