Tiny Kox is a Dutch politician who served as a member of the Senate of the Netherlands from 2003 until 2024, becoming its longest-serving incumbent member. A prominent figure in the Socialist Party (SP), he previously served as the party's General Secretary and led its faction in the Senate. Kox also held significant international roles, notably serving as the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) from 2022 to 2024, where he was instrumental in the suspension and expulsion of Russia following the invasion of Ukraine. Throughout his career, he focused on social justice, child poverty, and the protection of democratic values.
