Ron Reynolds is an American politician serving as a member of the Texas House of Representatives for District 27, a position he has held since 2011. As the first African American elected to represent Fort Bend County in the state house since the Reconstruction era, he has focused his legislative career on criminal justice reform, abortion rights, and the expansion of Medicare. Reynolds currently chairs the Texas Legislative Black Caucus and the Texas Historically Black Colleges and Universities Legislative Caucus.
