Ron Sao is an Australian politician serving as the Member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly for the electoral district of Cannington. A member of the Labor Party, he was elected to his seat in the 2025 Western Australian state election. Prior to his election, Sao was raised in Beckenham and served as the chief of staff for his predecessor, Bill Johnston, from 2021 to 2025. He is also noted for surviving an emergency incident at Smiths Beach in 2021.
