Ron Taylor is an American politician serving as a Democratic member of the Idaho Senate for the 26th district. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, he attended the University of Utah before moving to Idaho in 1982. Prior to his legislative career, Taylor served as a firefighter, paramedic, and captain with Wood River Fire & Rescue. He was first elected to the Idaho Senate in November 2022, defeating incumbent Laurie Lickley, and assumed office on December 1, 2022. He successfully won re-election in 2024.
