Ruby McGregor-Smith

Ruby McGregor-Smith, Baroness McGregor-Smith, is a British business executive and politician who has served as a Conservative life peer in the House of Lords since 2015. Born in Lucknow, India, she moved to England as a child and later became a prominent business leader, notably serving as the CEO of Mitie Group PLC from 2007 to 2016. Throughout her career, she has been a vocal advocate for diversity in the workplace, leading the government-commissioned 'McGregor-Smith Review' on race in the workplace. In addition to her parliamentary duties, she has held various leadership roles, including chairing the Airport Operators Association and the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education.
