Rumaizi Baharin

Rumaizi Baharin is a Malaysian administrator who served as the Mayor of Ipoh from April 1, 2020, to March 31, 2025. Born in Ipoh in 1975, he previously held various government roles, including Director of Lands and Mines of Perak. During his tenure as mayor, he focused on urban poverty reduction and promoting Ipoh as a dynamic city, notably leading the Ipoh City Council to receive the UN-Habitat Scroll of Honour for its implementation of the donut economy. He holds a Bachelor of Accounting from Universiti Utara Malaysia and a Master of Science in Land Development and Administration from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
