Rusda Mahmud is an Indonesian politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives (DPR-RI) representing the Southeast Sulawesi electoral district. Before his tenure in the national legislature, he served as the Regent of North Kolaka for two consecutive terms from 2007 to 2017, becoming the first definitive regent of the regency. A member of the Democratic Party, he has held various leadership roles within the party and previously served as the chairman of the Association of Indonesian Regency Governments (APKASI). His political career also includes a candidacy for Governor of Southeast Sulawesi in 2018.
