Ruth Odinga is a Kenyan politician currently serving as the Woman Representative for Kisumu County in the National Assembly. A member of the Orange Democratic Movement, she previously served as the first Deputy Governor of Kisumu County from 2013 to 2017 and later as a senior advisor to the Governor. She is a prominent women's rights activist and the founder of the Kenya Network of Women Governors. Born into a notable political family, she is the daughter of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga and the sister of opposition leader Raila Odinga.
