Ryosuke Kozuki is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Councillors, currently in his third term representing the Ibaraki Prefecture constituency. A former bureaucrat who served in the Ministry of Home Affairs and as Vice Governor of Ibaraki Prefecture, he has held various government roles, including State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry and State Minister of Cabinet Office. Kozuki is a member of the Liberal Democratic Party and has served as the party's Agriculture and Forestry Division Director. His policy positions include support for constitutional amendment, the strengthening of the Self-Defense Forces, and the introduction of selective separate surnames for married couples. He has also been a vocal advocate for the tobacco industry and has expressed opposition to strict indoor smoking bans.
