Ryan Guillen is an American politician serving as a member of the Texas House of Representatives for District 31. First elected in 2002 at the age of 24, he is one of the youngest individuals ever elected to the Texas Legislature. Initially serving as a Democrat for nine terms, Guillen switched his party affiliation to the Republican Party in November 2021. Throughout his long tenure, he has held numerous leadership roles, including chairing committees on Agriculture & Livestock and Homeland Security and Public Safety.
