Ryutaro Sakamoto is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives for the Fukushima 4th district. Born in Iwaki, Fukushima, he graduated from Chuo University's Faculty of Law. Before his national career, he served as a member of the Iwaki City Council and the Fukushima Prefectural Assembly for two terms. Sakamoto was elected to the House of Representatives in the 50th general election in 2024 and was re-elected in 2026. He also holds the position of Deputy Director of the Liberal Democratic Party's Public Relations Bureau.
