Süleyman Soylu

Süleyman Soylu is a Turkish politician currently serving as a Member of the Grand National Assembly. He previously held significant cabinet positions, including Minister of the Interior from 2016 to 2023 and Minister of Labour and Social Security. Before joining the Justice and Development Party (AKP) in 2012, he was the leader of the Democrat Party. Known for his nationalist stance, Soylu has been a polarizing figure in Turkish politics, particularly regarding his approach to security, the removal of opposition mayors, and his rhetoric concerning international relations.
