Sílvia Lutucuta

Sílvia Paula Valentim Lutucuta is an Angolan cardiologist, academic, and politician currently serving as the Minister of Health of Angola. Appointed in 2017 by President João Lourenço, she has been a central figure in managing the nation's public health response, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Before entering government, she had a distinguished career in medical research, specializing in molecular biology and cardiovascular genetics at the Agostinho Neto University, and held various leadership roles in medical and student associations.
