Masayoshi Saijo is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives. Born in 1954 in Hasaki-cho (now Kamisu City), Ibaraki Prefecture, he graduated from Daito Bunka University. Before his national career, he served eight terms as a member of the Ibaraki Prefectural Assembly, where he held significant roles including Prefectural Assembly Chairman and Secretary-General of the Liberal Democratic Party's Ibaraki Prefectural Federation. After an unsuccessful bid in 2024, he was elected to the House of Representatives in 2026 representing the Northern Kanto proportional block. He also serves as the chairman of the 'Rokumeikai,' a group for first-term members of the House of Representatives.
