Salihe Aydeniz is a Kurdish politician and a current member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. Born in 1973 in Ergani, she initially worked as a nurse and served as a leader in the Trade Union of Public Employees in Health and Social Services. She entered national politics in 2018, representing Diyarbakır before being elected to represent Mardin in 2023. Since 2019, she has served as the co-chair of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP). Aydeniz is a vocal advocate for a political resolution to the Kurdish-Turkish conflict and has consistently pushed for greater recognition of Kurdish language and cultural rights within the Turkish political framework.
