Salim Mvurya

Salim Mvurya is a Kenyan politician serving as a cabinet minister. He previously served two terms as the first governor of Kwale County from 2013 to 2022, initially winning election on an Orange Democratic Movement ticket before later joining the Jubilee Party. Before entering elected politics, he accumulated extensive experience in social development, leadership, and management with organizations such as Plan Kenya and the Aga Khan Foundation. He holds a bachelor's degree in Agri-Business Management from Egerton University and a master's degree in Participation, Power and Social Change from the Institute of Development Studies in the United Kingdom.
