Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa

Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa is a Bahraini politician and member of the Bahraini ruling family who currently serves as the Minister of Finance and National Economy. Appointed to this position in December 2018, he previously held the role of director general in the office of the First Deputy Prime Minister starting in 2013. Before entering government service, he built a career in international finance, working at UBS in the United Kingdom and as a managing director of global markets for the Middle East at Deutsche Bank AG. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in investments and economics from Babson College and also serves as the vice chairman of the board of the National Oil and Gas Authority.
