Samantha Scott is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Florida House of Representatives for the 52nd district. A lifelong resident of Sumter County, Florida, she was appointed to the Lake–Sumter State College District Board of Trustees in June 2025 by Governor Ron DeSantis. Scott subsequently ran for the Florida House in a special election following the resignation of John Temple and was elected by default in March 2026 after no other candidates filed to contest the seat.
