Samantha Vang

Samantha Vang is an American politician serving in the Minnesota House of Representatives since 2019. Born and raised in Minneapolis to Hmong refugee parents, she holds a degree in political science and communications from Gustavus Adolphus College. Vang represents District 38B, which includes parts of Brooklyn Center and Brooklyn Park. In the legislature, she chairs the Agriculture Finance and Policy Committee and has been a vocal advocate for police reform and environmental protections, including efforts to regulate commercial turtle harvesting and pollinator-lethal pesticides.
