Sania Nishtar is a Pakistani physician, cardiologist, senator, author, and activist who currently serves as a Member of the Senate of Pakistan and CEO of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. A prominent figure in public health and governance, she previously held office as Federal Minister and Special Assistant on Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, leading the landmark Ehsaas poverty alleviation program. Nishtar has also contributed extensively to international health initiatives, including co-chairing WHO commissions and serving on multiple global advisory boards.
