Sar Sokha is a Cambodian politician and police general who currently serves as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. Born in Prey Veng Province in 1981, he is the eldest son of former Interior Minister Sar Kheng. He studied in France, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Singapore, earning a PhD with a focus on rural development, science, education, civil law management, and sub-national administration. Prior to his current cabinet appointment, he served as a police officer within the Ministry of Interior, as secretary of state at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, and as a Member of Parliament representing Prey Veng Province.
