Sardar Yaqoob Nasir

Sardar Yaqoob Nasir is a Pakistani politician currently serving as a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since February 2024. A prominent leader of the Pashtun Nasar tribe, he has been a consistent figure in Pakistani politics since his first electoral victory in 1985. Throughout his career, he has held various significant positions, including Federal Minister for Railways, Federal Minister for Environment, and Senator. He also served as the interim president of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) in 2017 following the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif. Known as a close aide to Sharif, Nasir has maintained a long-standing political presence in Balochistan, focusing on regional development and national governance.
