Sasmit Pokharel

Sasmit Pokharel is a Nepalese politician serving as the Minister of Education and Sports and as a member of the House of Representatives for Kathmandu-5. A member of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, he previously worked as an advisor on education and urban planning under Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah and was active in youth-led reform movements. He holds a Bachelor of Business Management and Bachelor of Laws from Kathmandu University School of Law.
