Satabdi Roy is an Indian politician, actress, and film director who has served as a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha since 2009, representing the Birbhum constituency for the Trinamool Congress. Before her political career, she was a prominent figure in Bengali cinema during the late 1980s and 1990s, earning two BFJA Awards for Best Supporting Actress. In 2025, she was appointed as the deputy leader of her party in the Lok Sabha. Beyond her legislative duties, she has directed several films and remains active in the arts.
