Óscar Crisóstomo

Óscar Crisóstomo is a Chilean social worker and politician who has served as the first Governor of the Ñuble Region since July 14, 2021. A member of the Socialist Party, he previously held roles in the provincial Department of Education and the Herminda Martin Clinical Hospital, and served as the provincial director of the Housing and Urbanization Service during the second administration of Michelle Bachelet. Crisóstomo, who studied social work at the University of Bío-Bío, was elected to his current position following a competitive primary and a subsequent runoff election.
