Scott Cyrway

Scott Cyrway is an American politician and deputy sheriff serving as a member of the Maine Senate, representing the 16th District. First elected in 2014, he represents a region that includes Waterville and parts of northern Kennebec County. Prior to his legislative career, Cyrway worked for the Kennebec County Sheriff's Office starting in 1992 and served as the State Coordinator for the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program for 22 years. During his time in the Senate, he has served as the Senate co-chair of the Veteran's and Legal Affairs Committee and has notably expressed opposition to ranked-choice voting.
